ts.com: Award-winning ticketing system chosen for prestigious music festival. 14 November 2005

Classic Concerts, promoters of music festivals and concerts around the UK, have announced that they will be the using the ticketingsolutions booking system to handle all online, phone and walk-up sales for this year’s renowned St Ceciliatide International Festival of Music.

The week-long celebration of classical music, food and wine commences on St Cecilia’s day itself – the patron saint of music - on the 22 nd November. This year’s festival will feature an impressive line-up of international performers across seven events including the popular Nikolai Demidenko, Bekova trio, the Skampa String Quartet and the distinguished clarinettist Colin Lawson.

Tickets for all the events will be sold via the award-winning online sales and marketing service ticketingsolutions. Operated by ts.com Ltd, the system is allowing Classic Concerts to sell festival tickets online for the first time. As Josephine Rapson of Classic Concerts explains, “we’ve already seen a considerable increase in our advance sales this year since implementing the ticketingsolutions system. Online booking has been especially popular, and has allowed us to reach a whole new audience which simply wasn’t possible before. For instance, we’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of international sales”.

With its advanced e-marketing functionality, the ticketingsolutions service is also enabling Classic Concerts to build a detailed customer database, as well as to run promotions and membership schemes to both develop customer loyalty and attract new visitors to the festival. As Josephine comments, “online promotions are proving to be a good way of encouraging more people to certain events and particularly to ones that they might not have previously considered. And as well as being able to run individual real-time reports to see how sales are doing for each event, we are also planning to use the tracking capabilities of the system to judge which marketing campaigns are working most effectively for us”.

The St Ceciliatide International Festival of Music ticket office opened on the 1 st September 2005. Described as “one of the most prestigious events in the City calendar” by Classical Music, concerts will take place in one of London’s finest old City livery halls, the Stock Room of Stationers.

The festival will also see performances from resident orchestra Fiori Musicale, which already use the ticketingsolutions service to sell advance tickets for their 35 concerts a year.
Festival tickets and details are available from www.st-ceciliatide.com or by phoning the ticket office on 01327 360931.
